![]() ![]() Reassembly is the only alliance I've ever had any trouble with, and that's cus they start at war with everyone, the other alliances are just "these players start allied" but it's not a Team Game so that alliance is entirely breakable, as I discovered when the "Aggressive Kir'ko Swarm" wound up with one of them being into talking and with a high enough opinion of me that when his ally declared war on me and I responded by instant building a stack and a half of Brimstone Missile equipped Troopers out of one city he said "nah bro, not helping" and broke the Alliance.(I almost regret that a few turns later I had to kill him to get the Grail.) Or you can bring the Shakarn or the Dwelling Intimidation Doctrine and profit REALLY hard off the war(I'd pick based on the quest associated, if it wants Dwellings easier to just be at war and conquer them, can't conquer them into integration though). ![]() Similarly, any time you start at war with an NPC faction you can play a Syndi with Energy Cache as the Colony bonus, peace out turn one, now the AI has to deal with more pressure and you don't. For instance, "Depleted Cosmite" isn't a big deal if you have taken Deer Antlers and can requisition Black Market Connections, or if you are playing Shakarn or can requisition their Razing doctrine. ![]() And a Level 5 Aliuna.Īnyway, speaking of "complexity scales too hard", it's really about figuring out how to abuse the complexity to gain advantage. Click to expand.Oathbound Campaign ties into Empire Mode, you get some Oathbound XP and some XP for whichever Secret Tech you went with, along with the ability to requisition Paragon Elites. ![]()
